He Died For Who

2 Corinthians 5:14-15
"For the love of Christ constrains us, because we thus judge; that if one died for all, then all have died. And He died for all, that those who live should not from now on live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again."

The person with whom Christ indwells has the love of God living within his heart, and thereby should understand certain elements of God's love. God's Word defines "God as love," and the love of God contains certain attributes and characteristics. One gets to know God and the "love of God" by spending quality and quantity time in His Word, which tells us what God is like. The Word of God provides us with God's thoughts and ways. Knowing the love of God, His thoughts and His ways are very instrumental in "rightly dividing the word of truth," of which far too many are very inept at accomplishing, even in many pulpits because they have not spent both quality and quantitative time in the Word of God. Paul makes it abundantly clear in this text of Scripture that Christ "died for all" when he writes "if one died for all, then all have died." Notice again the words of Paul in verse fifteen as he declares, "and He died for all."  I am often amused by those who act as biblical scholars, yet are so inept as to defining the simple word "all" as presented in this text and others.  It's very clear my friends, Christ "died for all," because all were dead. Understand that Christ "died for all," thereby offering life to all. We should now live for Him rather than ourselves. Jesus Christ calls for us to "die to self," and live for Him.  We are to "take up the cross and follow Him."  Jesus said, "those who save their lives will lose it, and those who lose it will save it."  Jesus Christ has called us to not only receive Him as our Savior; He demands that we bow to Him as Lord, because He died for us.  When Christ died for us, He won the right to demand that everyone, and every religion bow the knee to Him. Man will choose to bow now to the Sovereign Judge of the earth, receive His mercy, grace, and forgiveness; else he will face eternal judgement as declared by the one who "died for all." My friend, you among the "all" for whom Christ died. Have you bowed to Him as the Lord and Savior of your life. It not, I would encourage you to do so this day -- tomorrow may be a day too late.
